A collapsible display stand, e.g. of cardboard, includes a front wall with regions of folding AA-EE about at least one of which the stand is foldable to assume any one of a plurality of configurations. In one configuration, the shaded portion of the front wall is detached from the sides and folded to extend to the back to form a shelf and the portion CCDD extends upwardly to form a vertical wall. In a second configuration, a second portion of the front defined between the lines BB and EE is detached and similarly folded to form a shelf, Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown). The sides 12 have score lines (GF), (FF), (HH), (II), Fig. 2 (not shown) about which they are foldable to form horizontal surfaces (55), Fig. 8 (not shown). The back 11 of the stand has rings (28), (30), (31), Fig. 3 (not shown) defined by scored lines and foldable outwardly to receive a pole (57) which supports an extension (56) of the back 11. In other configurations, the backs of two stands may be cut level with the horizontal surfaces (55) and the stands placed back to back, Fig. 9 (not shown), or one stand may be cut and folded to form a hopper (60), Fig. 10 (not shown), supported by poles (67), each of which pass through the shelf (68) of one of four similar stands disposed below. In insert, Fig. 11 (not shown), formed of intersecting pieces of cardboard may be used as a support for a shelf.
