The arms 10 are pivoted to cause the jaws to engage a container 11 by a single acting hydraulic ram 12, against the action of springs 13. The jaws are rotated to tip the container into an emptying position by hydraulic rams 19, pivotally connected between the arms 10 and arms secured to the trunnions 17, against the action of springs 24.
