Abstract

1,233,563. Weft selector for circular loom. PELTZER; & FILS S.A. 31 May, 1968 [20 June, 1967], No. 26173/68. Heading D1E. A weft selector for a circular loom comprises a pivoted two-arm lever 15 carrying guides 19-22 at one end and movable by means of a pattern chain 31 engaging the other end to bring one weft to a predetermined level where it is gripped to be inserted into a dummy shuttle. The chain is driven by a sprocket 39 fixed to a sleeve freely rotating on axle 41. The axle is oscillated by a lever 44 engaging cams 47 'rotating with the loom, and rotates the sleeve by a ratchet and pawl '58, 60. The lever also carries clamps 23-6 aligned with the guides, and the selected yarn is gripped in the space -101 'between - them. A yarn cutter 87, 89 is -mounted adjacent the end of the lever.
