Abstract

1,232,046. Shovelling machines. OLEOMAT. 19 July, 1968 [21 July, 1967], No. 34678/68. Heading E1F. A connecting structure 4a, 4b positioned between a boom 1 and a dipper stick 6 permits of lateral adjustment of the arm 6 relative to the boom 1 about an upright axis 7 after withdrawal of a spring-biassed plunger 20 from one of the recesses spaced along an arm 13 connected to the part 4b and slidable in a sleeve 14 connected by a universal joint 15a, 15b to the boom. The sleeve 14 carries a piston-cylinder assembly 17, 18 that allows of withdrawal of the plunger 20 on operation of a pedal-operated, piston-cylinder unit by an operator on a machine when the boom is mounted thereon. The parts 4a, 4b are pivotally connected to the boom and the dipper stick about axes 3, 5 disposed at right angles to the axes 7.
