Abstract
1,230,411. Ear clips. GENERAL FINDINGS Inc. 2nd July, 1968, No. 31610/68. Heading A3H. [Also in Division E2] A clip comprises a resilient metal loop 20 having its ends 22, 27 contiguous and overlapping and each provided with an opening 23 and 30 therein to receive a member 14, the openings being normally out of alignment in the rest position of the clip, but being movable into alignment by movement of the ends in opposite directions, to receive the member 14 to be gripped by the edges of the openings when the ends return to their normal positions, the material of the loop adjacent the innermost overlapped end being off-set to act as a stop 29 to limit movement of that end on the other as the loop is contracted to align the openings. As shown, the member 14 is the stem of an ear ornament 12, 13.
