Abstract

1,230,150. Coated stitchbonded fabric. VITAFOAM Ltd. 12 Dec., 1969 [31 Dec., 1968], No. 61857/68. Heading B2E. A floor covering comprises a fabric which has been stitchbonded, impregnated with polymeric material and provided with a foamed coating. The fabric may be a carded woollen batt and may be dyed. The impregnant may be polyvinyl acetate or natural or synthetic rubber latex, and may be applied from a suspension by padding, immersion or back-coating. The coating may be a polymeric or a natural or synthetic latex foam and may be applied by a spreader and then cured.
