Abstract

1,221,041. Coated sheet material. KURASHIKI RAYON K.K. 17 Jan., 1969 [17 Jan., 1968], No. 2898/69. Heading B2E. A suede-like sheet material comprises a sheet base to which is bonded a layer of fine of maximum diameter of less than 500 microns particles of a polyurethane elastomer having a micro-porous spongy structure. The particles may have a diameter of less than 500 microns and may be mixed with other materials examples of which are specified. The particles may be bonded by a layer of polyurethane, of vinyl acetate/acrylate copolymers or nitrilebutadiene rubber. Adhesive may be applied by spraying, roll coating or brushing. The substrate may be a woven knitted or non-woven fabric and may be impregnated with a polymer.
