Abstract

1,229,912. Multiple-reflection display devices. C. R. GEOFFROY. 17 July, 1968 [17 July, 1967], No. 32795/67. Heading G5C. Objects O are mounted on a base 16, e.g. a theatre stage, between a partly reflecting, partly transparent mirror 14 and a convex mirror 13 and below a lamp 19. When the lamp 19 is switched on a view through the mirror 14 shows multiple reflections in the mirror 13. Further mirrors may extend laterally between mirrors 14, 13, and have their reflecting surfaces directed towards the location of the objects O. Mirror 13 may be of part-spherical form, or cylindrical. In a modification (not shown), mirror 14 subdivides a cabinet into two compartments, the front one having a frontal sheet of plain glass. Each compartment has an independently controlled light source: thus two alternative displays are possible. One of the mirrors may be tiltable with respect to the other.
