Packing sweets in receptacles.-A packing table particularly for use in packing boxes of mixed sweets &c. is provided with a number of horizontal trays 10 which are moved and guided in an endless path by an arrangement of the following character. An endless chain 18 arranged below an endless slot m in the table top is loosely connected to the trays by individual pins 14 passing through the slot. The trays are also provided with a guide-pin 13 which enters the slot and preferably follows the pin 14. The pins guide the trays round the curved parts of the slot without binding. The pins 14 have reduced parts fitted in ears 16, Fig. 5, on the chain. The trays may consist of a flanged frame 10 and a loose bottom 12. The table top is formed by a middle member g which is spaced from the outer members j, l by the slot m. One of the semicircular ends of the member g is adjustable. Shelves p, n are arranged in the middle and at the sides of the table. The chain 18 passes over sprocket-wheels 19, 20, the wheel 19 being geared to a driving-shaft, and the wheel 20 being journaled in an adjustable bracket. The boxes to be filled are placed on the shelves n and attendants are seated at these shelves. Another attendant supplies the trays with different kinds of sweets.
