Abstract

1,228,843. Delivering sheets; cutting and folding apparatus. HER MAJESTY INDUSTRIES Inc. 20 May, 1968, No. 23997/68. Heading B8R. A web 21 passes through longitudinal guide passage 18 and feed rollers 24 and 25 to transverse cutting block 33 and the resulting sheets, guided by a throat 47 and passage 45, are forced by a blade 54 into passage 50 causing them to be transversely folded and presented between jaws 69 for manual removal. Web 21 is intermittently fed to the cutter under the control of photocell 64 which detects opaque areas 65 and arrests the feed, whereupon cutting blade 33 and folding block 54 are simultaneously operated. The feed is re-started upon removal of a folded sheet from between jaws 69.
