Abstract

1,228,231. Mounting electrical equipment. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. 23 April, 1969 [29 April, 1968], No. 20209/68. Heading H1R. [Also in Division A4] Cabinets which are collapsible and are used for supporting electrical apparatus comprise two parallel metal panels 10 and 11 which are spaced apart by L-section metal cross-members 21 and 22 having channels formed by longitudinal re-entrant flanges 23 and 24, the panels being joined together by the bars (31 and 32, Fig. 3, not shown) passing through holes (35) in the panels and abutting the channels. Each metal panel may be replaced by a rectangular frame which comprises either two spaced apart parallel J-seetion members (51 and 52, Fig. 5, not shown) which are connected together by a metal bar 12 or a panel 13 or two Z-section members connected at their ends by an angle member 76, Fig. 7, not shown). The door 41 which is formed from two trays (61 and 62, Fig. 6, not shown) glued together at their edges (65) has a rubber sealing gasket (63).
