Abstract

122,817. Boas, J. M. G. Villas-. Jan. 29, 1918, [Convention date]. Rollers.-In place of the usual flannel and leather coverings, the rollers are covered or coated with a jelly or paste having a composition similar to those used for coating the ink-distributing rollers of printing-machines. The composition is moulded upon the roller and may be formed as follows :-To 1200 grams of water, 400 grams of jelly, 120 grams of glycerine, and a few drops of carbolic acid are added, and the mixture is left to stand for a few hours, melted for an hour and a half, and, before it is poured into the mould, 10 grams of alcohol and 10 grams of ammonium or potassium bichromate and 50 grams of water are added.
