Abstract

Creel arrangements; tension arrangements; thread guides; stop-motions.-In thread winding and like machines, the delivery bobbin a is provided with a brake strap f which is connected through a spring g to a fixed part of the frame and through a spring k to a balanced lever m carrying a guide-pulley n for the thread, so that undue slack in the thread tends to be rewound on the delivery bobbin. The lever m is suspended by a link m<1> from a pivot 2 and supports one end of a bent lever s mounted on the usual stop-motion lever u, so that, when undue tension occurs in the thread, &c., the bent end of the lever s is brought into the path of the cam t, and the lever u is moved to the right to effect the stoppage of the machine.
