Abstract

1,227,319. Electrostatic precipitators. LODGE-COTTRELL Ltd. 24 June, 1968 [7 July, 1967], No. 31424/67. Heading B2J. An electrostatic precipitator collector element comprises a plurality of elements 16, 18 each comprising a plate with two bent end portions 26, 36 shaped for interlocking with the end portion of an adjacent element. The end 32 may be folded over or it may be bent over in the form of a circle. The interlocked end portions define crescent-shaped channels which are open against the direction of gas flow A when the electrode is in use. A plurality of discharge electrodes 14 are provided between the collecting electrodes.
