Abstract

1,227,147. Rotary action machines. AGRIC S.L. 1 April, 1968 [1 April, 1967; 14 Nov., 1967], No. 15649/68. Heading A1B. An agricultural machine has a rotor 2 which consists of a splined shaft 15 and a tubular casing 16 which is transversely movable on shaft 15 by a lever cooperating between a flange 50 and lugs 52, and power is supplied to the shaft 15 from a tractor via a gear train. End piece 20 remains stationary whilst end piece 21 is movably supported by spindles 22, 23 housed in tubular casings 24, 25. A support 30 has guides 28, (29), Fig. 2 (not shown). Each end piece has a height adjusting support skid 27. An apron 26 is adjustably connected by a chain 33 to a stem 34 and has flanges 54 which level the soil. The machine is coupled to a tractor by an arm 45, which has braces 46, and supports 47, which can be used for the standard couplings or hitches, see Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown). Tubular casings 24 and 25 have a frictionless sleeve (56), Fig. 7 (not shown), of steel adjacent their open end, with circular grooves (57), on which sleeve the spindles 22, 23 rub. Disposed in the groove closest to the outside is a dust seal. The support 30 can be mounted on the shaft 15 via a frictionless band (41) and a toothed bush (40), Fig. 8 (not shown), or via a bearing (63) and a bush (60), Fig. 9 (not shown). Bushes (40) and (60) are in each embodiment fast with the casing 16.
