Abstract
122,579. Dickson, H. C., and Lawson, J. W. June 24, 1918. Addition to 120,494. Straightening. - The mechanism described in the parent Specification is modified as follows. A third series of rolls k is located beneath the driven rolls a, the rolls k being preferably idle, as are the rolls f located above the rolls a. A single roli l is arranged beyond the rolls f, a, k, on the side thereof opposite to that on which the single roll i lies. The work is adapted, after being passed in one direction between the rolls a and f and under the roll j, to be passed in the opposite direction between the rolls a and k and over the roll l. The rolls j, l are adjustable, both parallel to, and at right-angles to the direction of motion of the work.
