Abstract

1,225,255. Filling gas-fuelled lighters. O. GIVER. 15 March, 1968, No. 12849/68. Heading F4F. A gas dispenser is adaptable to fill gas-fuelled lighters having either a relatively shallow or a relatively deep filling opening and comprises a container 2 having a filling stud 6 operable to open an outlet valve of the dispenser, the filling stud 6 being provided with a sealing member 14 for use with a lighter having a relatively shallow opening and the sealing member 14 being provided with a removable cap 20 which has a tubular protrusion 24 forming an extension of filling stud 6 for use with a lighter having a relatively deep filling opening. The sealing member 14 is of annular cross-section and is mounted around a bushing 8 on the filling stud 6 and the exterior surface 18 of the sealing member 14 is dome shaped to engage with a bowl-shaped portion 22 of the cap 20.
