Abstract

1,223,759. Side arms for spectacles. A. ZANCANER and S. ZANCANER [trading as F. I. L. O. S. S. A. S. DI ZANCANER ALBERTO & SORELLA. March 15, 1968, No. 12627/68. Heading G2J. A spectacle side arm is formed in two parts 8, 9 Fig. 3 connected by a hinge having a cam 6 and leaf spring 1 so that the rear part 9 can be moved through a larger angle relative to the front member of the spectacles than the normal hinge will allow. As shown the usual hinge is anchored by pin 5 and plate 4 on a member 2 to which spring 1 is secured. The cam 6 is pivoted at 7 to part 8 and pinned at 11 to part 9. Parts 8, 9 may be of metal and an extension 10, rigid with part 9 may be of plastic material.
