In an N-path network used as a delay circuit, the N-paths include series capacitors and are connected in series with a first amplifier A 1 . It is shown that the output from this amplifier V 2 is given by and so by adding in V 1 at the input to the second amplifier A 2 , the output V 0 is given by In an alternative arrangement Fig. 3 (not shown) the input voltage V 1 is subtracted at the input to the first amplifier. A gain of 2 is then required at the second amplifier to give the required value of V 0 . The switching for the N-paths may be effected by field effect transistors, Fig. 4 (not shown), triggered from a chain of bi-stable circuits.
