Abstract

1,222,329. Clips. W. R. GRACE & CO. 21 Oct., 1969 [31 Dec., 1968], No. 51636/69. Heading E2B. . A clip designed to be bent round the neck of an evacuated or inflated bag re to close it is in the form of a U and the cross-section of the material of which it is made tapers towards the inner region. Thus .the clip shown in Fig. 1 is being formed in dies 11, 12 around bag 13 Fig. 6. The clip may be of steel or aluminium and tapers inwardly, e.g. as shown in Fig. 2 or 4. The dies engage the outer surface 23, 34.
