Abstract

122,145. Steventon, H. Aug. 30, 1918. Casting-apparatus.-Plaster moulds are filled with clay slip at X and carried by a conveyer a to the troughs d into which the surplus slip from each mould is poured by two operators who then place the moulds on conveyers e, f by which they are carried through drying-chambers g to the position Y where the clav articles are removed. The empty moulds are then replaced on the conveyers and are carried through drying-chambers h to be filled again at X. The drying-chambers are heated by pipes, and may be provided with exhaust fans or the like. The conveyers may be replaced by vehicles running on endless-rail tracks.
