Abstract
1,220,898. Mining equipment control gear. PIKROSE & CO. Ltd. and A. BOOTH. 3 Nov., 1969 [14 Nov., 1968], No. 54001/68. Heading E1F. F. The hydraulically powered actuator of control gear for underground mining equipment is operatively associated with the high pressure and return lines of a hydraulically actuated prop system via a closable valve. As shown the actuator comprises two double acting, cross connected, piston-cylinder units 16a, 16b connected through lines 15a, 15b, a reversing valve 14 and lines 12, 13 to the supply and return lines 3, 6 to hydraulically powered props 4a, 4b, 4c. The units 16a, 16b control brakes 10a, 10b of the winch 7 of a slusher system. The units 16a, 16b may be replaced by a single or double acting, piston cylinder unit acting on a lever offset of the pivot of the lever.
