1,220,700. Sample container for use in automatic analysis. GILFORD INSTRUMENT LABORATORIES Inc. 19 Dec., 1968 [19 Dec., 1967], No. 48536/69. Divided out of 1,220,699. Heading B1X. The present invention is as described in Specification 1,220,699. Claimed herein is a sample container comprising a cup-like body having a liquid carrying cavity opening to the top thereof and closed at the bottom, a hollow standard mounted in the cavity and providing a barrel 52 in its interior, said standard being open at its upper end and adapted to receive a cartridge therein, and a liquid passageway from the bottom of the barrel into the bottom of the cavity so that fluid forced from the cartridge inward of the barrel will enter the cavity. The cartridge may comprise a known length of precision bore capillary tubing containing sample to be analysed.
