A glazing bar assembly comprises an extruded inverted-T sectioned bar 10 having a web 11 and cross-bar at its lower end provided with an undercut groove 17 for accommodating bolt heads for mounting on a support frame or for accommodating elements of inverted V-section 33, 34, 35 as shown or with hooked ends (Figs. 4 and 5) for supporting lighting fittings or cables &c. or reinforcing strips at intervals along the bar, the other end of the web on top of the bar having a central undercut groove 16 for receiving the mounting screw &c. of an end stop (Figs. 7 and 8) and two lateral recesses 12, 13, which may also open downwardly (Fig. 9) and resilient clips 21, 22 having end portions 211 held in the undercut recesses 12, 13 and circular loops 212, 222 which clamp down on glass panes 50 or overlapping portions of panes 51, 52 which rest on the glazing supports 14, 15 upstanding from the cross bar.
