Abstract
1,217,399. Loom dobbies. STAUBLI & CO. GEB. 4 April, 1968 [27 April, 1967], No. 16182/68. Heading D1E. A perforated pattern sheet is supplied with pins before it passes over the cylinder so that the pins passing through preset perforations control the healds via feelers. In one embodiment the pins 3"' are permanently mounted in radial bores in the cylinder and are moved through the perforations via magnets 36 while the cylinder rotates in either directions, or by air pressure, springs or a rubber layer. The pins are held in the desired position by a cam between channels 38. In further embodiments (Figs. 7, 8, not shown) pins 3 are dropped through perforations in the sheet and held in the cylinder while it passes the working zone by a magnetic core, or an energised coil around each bore or by a catch, or by a flange on the pins. Stops 25 controlled by the pins and mounted in or oscillating segment 21 actuate hooks 20 which retain arms 18 oscillated by bars 17. In an alernative dobby feelers actuated by the pins lower draw-hooks onto the knives.
