Abstract

1,216,239. Eccentrics. BLACK & DECKER Ltd., and J. J. DONNELLY. 30 April, 1969 [17 May, 1968], No. 23618/68. Heading F2K. A counterbalanced drive eccentric comprises a flat counterweight 3, 4 clamped between a drive shaft connector 1 and an eccentric 2. The connector 1 has a central flange 13 which is received in a counterbore 8 in the weight, a threaded portion 11 extending from one side of the flange for connection to a drive shaft, and an eccentric portion 12 extending from the other side of the flange for screw-threaded engagement with the eccentric 2. The weight may be a single piece, or as shown, in two halves 3, 4 interconnected by a projection 7 to prevent relative rotation.
