Abstract

Regulating unit to limit the pressure and turning momentum of at least two coupled and adjustable pumps driven by a joint drive motor and to avoid overloading and stalling of the motor. The pump discharge pressure acts on the regulating unit in such a way that the volume conveyed by the pumps can be reduced. Each pump has its own pressure regulator each of which has a control piston with two active pressure surfaces and having a load measuring apparatus for the drive motor which provides a control impulse to the pressure regulator shortly before overload as in 23 316 17 with each pump adjusting link (14, 15) having a track indicator (18, 21) which transmits details of the position of the adjustment link to an electronic control apparatus (20) together with other relevant information which is then compared and acted upon.
