Abstract

1,215,710. 710. Camera mounts. TASCO SALES Inc. Dec.27, 1967, No.58749/67. Heading G2J. A camera 12, Fig. 1, is attached to an optical instrument such as a refracting telescope 11 by a mount comprising a camera support 14, a telescope engaging part 29-39, an intervening coupling mechanism 20 and a rod 19. The support 14 consists of pivotable arms 15, 17, a screw 16 on arm 15 being secured to camera base 43, and the telescope engaging part comprises spaced apart arcuate portions 33, 29 which grip eyepiece tube 41 of telescope 11. Rod 19 on arm 17 passes through a bore in portion 22 of the coupling means 20 and part 29 is on an arm mounted on portion 22. The mount may be used with a reflecting telescope Fig. 6 (not shown) in which case rod 19 passes through a bore 25 in a portion 24 of the coupling mechanism, perpendicular to portion 22, and adapter 13 is in this case omitted. The device may be used for attaching a camera to a microscope.
