Abstract

1,215,572. Vehicle driving arrangements. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP. 11 Jan., 1968 [11 Oct., 1966], No. 45478/76. Heading B7H. [Also in Division F1] An agricultural tractor has an hydraulic motor (see Division F1) arranged within each rear wheel 1. Each motor has at least three radial cylinders and receives driving oil from a variable swash-plate pump driven by a forwardlymounted engine. Each motor is mounted on a fixed shaft 17 secured to a frame member 5 having a hollow cross member 7. An oil and dirt seal at the inner ends of the cylinders is provided by a system of flexible gaiters 151. Alternatively, the entire motor may be enclosed.
