Abstract

1,215,048. Panel radiators. SVENSKA ACKUMULATOR A.B. JUNGNER. 5 Sept., 1968 [10 June, 1968], No. 42292/68. Heading F4S. [Also in Division F2] A panel radiator comprises two steel radiator sections 1 and 2 interconnected by coupling means shown in Fig. 4. Each coupling means consists of two externally screw-threaded tubular members 5 and 6 interconnected by a nut 7. The tubular member 5 has an external annular flange 8 and an externally tapered end 9 which engages an internally tapered end 10 of the other tubular member 6. The members 5 and 6 are screwed respectively into the opposed ends of adjacent tube sleeves 3 of the two radiator sections 1 and 2 and screwed together by the nut 7. The tube sleeves 3 are welded to the walls of each radiator section, each sleeve 3 being formed with a circumferential gap 4 between its ends to permit flow of heating medium to or from the respective radiator sections. Plugs 14 and 15 close the ends of the tube sleeves 3 at the front surface of the radiator, the upper plug 14 being provided with an air escape valve 16.
