Abstract
1,213,216. Fluid flow indication. NORTH THAMES GAS BOARD. May 23, 1969 [June 11, 1968], No.27672/68. Heading G1R. In a device for indicating whether or not fluid is present in a pipe a float 23, mounted on one arm of a two armed lever or frame 20, pivoted at 17 and carrying on the other arm indicator plates 21, 22 visible through a window 13 is arranged so that when fluid flows through the pipe the float 23 pivots the frame 20 to a position in which a stop 26 prevents further movement of the frame 20 and the indicator plate 22, coloured red and having a black arrow, is visible through the window 13 and when the pipe is free of fluid the float 23 drops to present plate 22, coloured yellow, to the window 13. Vanes 24, 25 are provided to rock the frame 20 when the fluid in the pipe is too low to effect move - ment of the float 23.
