Abstract
1,210,003. Powder distributers. MITSUBISHI JUKOGYO K.K. and N. SUDA. 20 June, 1968, No. 29442/68. Heading A1D. A flexible hose 1, e.g. of polyethylene or polypropylene film, is provided with apertures 2 and coupled at one end to means 5 for forcing into the hose air carrying an agent, e.g. insecticide, in the form of powder or granular material, for ejection through said apertures. Uniform spreading is attained by decreasing the pitch or increasing the diameter of the apertures towards the closed end 3, or by reducing the tube diameter. Constrictions may also be provided, Figs. 11, 12 (not shown), to effect a vortex action, and the hose may be vibrated during use.
