Abstract

1,209,995. Scoop arm machines; scraping apparatus. CATERPILLAR TRACTOR CO. 14 May, 1968 [22 June, 1967], No. 22802/68. Heading E1F. In a loader having a bucket 12 pivoted on lift arms 13 and tiltable relative to the latter by a linkage 14, a pivoted ejector plate 42 is automatically operated, when the bucket is tilted forward to empty the bucket, by engagement of surfaces 52, 53 on levers 39, 49, the movement of the levers being transmitted to the ejector plate 42 by a link 46. The arms 13 are pivoted on a tractor 11, the linkage 14 being associated with one of the arms and a similar linkage being associated with the other arm. Pivoting between the lever 49 and the link 46 is limited by stops 54, 56, and the pivot 48 between the lever and the link carries a stop for engagement with a link 27 to limit forward pivoting of the ejector plate 42, Fig. 4 (not shown). The ejector plate may be moved to the front of the bucket to provide a bulldozing surface.
