[Also in Division F4] A lamp for a vehicle comprises an optical assembly 1, a case 2 for receiving the optical assembly, and a substantially U-shaped resilient strap 6, of which the base portion bears against the rear of the case and the two arm. portions each releasably engage projections formed on the optical assembly so as to retain the optical assembly in the case. As shown the portions of the strap over which the arm portions meet the base portion are each in the form of a loop 7 and the loop portions are formed with openings 7a to give the strap improved flexibility. If the base portion of the strap is foamed with a hole 6 for receiving the case fixing screw 3 and allowing the strap to be secured to the case.
