A composite having a thickness 0À10-1À5 mm. which can be deep drawn into cups, bowls or dishes comprises a layer of polypropylene (0À003-0À050 mm.) and a layer of cellulose cardboard (0À2-1À4 mm.) held together by an intermediate polyethylene film (0À003- 0À050 mm.). The cellulose cardboard may consist predominantly of an unbleached backing layer and a thin covering layer of bleached material. Printed matter may appear on either face of the cardboard layer so that it is visible in final products. Lamination of the polyethylene coated polypropylene film to the cardboard is effected at 100-150‹ C. at a pressure of 5-30 kg./cm.<SP>2</SP>
