Abstract

1,209,544. Cooling beverages. GASKELL & CHAMBERS (NON-DRIP MEASURE) Ltd. 23 June, 1969 [15 July, 1968], No. 33580/68. Heading F4H. In a beverage cooling system of the type in which a beverage coil 3a and a refrigerant evaporator 5 are immersed in a tank of water, the evaporator is disposed near the bottom of the tank and is of flat formation so that the ice bank 6 formed on it does not impede the flow of water over the beverage coil. The water flow is caused by an impellor 4a whose speed is variable to regulate the rate of heat transfer from the beverage coil.
