Abstract
1,209,186. Valves. WELLMAN INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS Ltd. 14 Oct., 1968 [23 Sept., 1967], No. 43374/67. Heading F2V. A valve comprises at least one closure member 16, or 20, actuated by a solenoid 34 and spring 32 and joined to an armature 30 by a resilient member, e.g. a spring clip 31, arranged to permit relative movement of the closure member and armature at least radially of the armature axis. Clip 31 is fixed to the armature by a fastener 55 and is bent to form at least two lips 60 which are located around a projection 60 and secured by a circlip 70. The armature is sealed from the valve passageways by a diaphragm 48, the rear side of which is vented to atmosphere, and a resilient buffer 42 is located at the opposite end of the armature.
