Abstract
1,209,060. Printing masters. XEROX CORP. Dec.29, 1967 [Jan. 6, 1967], No.59086/67. Heading G2H. Photo-electric phoretic images comprising photoconductive particles produced as described in Specification 1, 124, 625 are used to obtain xerographic printing masters by incorporating in the imaging suspension or applying to the photoelectro-phoretic image on insulating material, so that an imagewise distribution of di-electric material is formed which is opposite in sense to the photoelectro-phoretic image. The insulating material may be acrylic ester resin, vinyl resins e.g. polyvinyl acetate and P.V.C., poly α- methyl styrene, polyethylene waxes and halo hydrocarbon waxes. The master produced is then charged and exposed to light. Powder or liquid developed and transferred on to a copy sheet and fixed thereon.
