Abstract

[Also in Division F1] An induction pipe for an air filter of an internal combustion engine comprises a first pipe section 2 having one end adapted to be firmly fixed to the air filter and its other end provided with a flange 4, a curved pipe section 3 provided at its end adjacent the first pipe section 2 with a flange 5 and a ring 6 of an elastic material which engages over the two flanges 4, 5 to hold the two pipe sections together. The flanges on their adjacent faces are provided with complementary recesses 9 and projections 8, whereby the two pipe sections 2, 3 may be latched against relative rotation in a plurality of positions. The ring 6 may be of rubber. The flange of the first pipe section may be provided with a collar which overlies the flange of the curved pipe section to centre the two pipe sections relatively to each other (Fig. 6, not shown).
