[Also in Division B3] An hydraulic stamping press in which a metal sheet 18 is shaped against the elastic wall 7 of a pressure chamber, comprises a wear pad 11, 12, Figs. 2 and 3, covering the wall 7 and consisting of a lower, hard part 11 and an upper dishshaped resilient part 12. The lower part 11, which clamps the sheet against a lower ring 16, may include a perforated, metal reinforcing plate (21), Fig. 4 (not shown). A layer of hard plastics or rubber (24), Fig. 6 (not shown), may be inserted in the upper surface of the ring 16.
