Abstract

1,206,567. Hydrazone. LABORATORI BIOCHIMICI FARGAL - PHARMASINT S.p.A. 27 March, 1969, No. 16153/69. Heading C2C. The invention comprises the compound of formula and its salts with alkali and alkaline earth metals (e.g. K, Na, Ca or Mg) and R 3 N, wherein each R is H or an organic radical (e.g. N- methylglucamine or l-lysine). The hydrazone is prepared by reacting 3-carboxy-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde with isonicotinoylhydrazide, and the product forms salts in the conventional manner. Therapeutic compositions for oral administration comprise the above compounds, which are used to treat tubercular diseases.
