1,205,761. Dispensing liquids. BAKER PERKINS Ltd. 8 March, 1968 [23 Feb., 1967], No. 8696/67. Heading A4T. A dispenser of viscous liquids has e.g. batter passing from a homogeniser 3 through main conduit 2 to a depositor 1 from which metered quantities are intermittently deposited in cake tins 4 passing on a conveyer. To prevent lowering of pressure in conduit 2 during an interruption in the depositing, a bypass valve 6 moves from a position of main conduit open and bypass 5 closed, to main conduit closed and bypass open (or both conduits open) under the control of a solenoid air valve 7 responsive to tin sensing or depositor pressure sensing means. The bypass contains an adjustable orifice 8 for setting the depositing pressure indicated at 9.
