Abstract

[Also in Division E1] An architectural construction member comprises an elongate body element of a metallic material other than stainless steel, the body element having a plurality of substantially planar faces, and a covering enveloping at least three of said faces formed from a sheet of stainless steel, said covering being adhesively secured to said body element. The planar faces of the body, immediately adjacent said surfaces which have been covered, are provided with longitudinally extending recesses into which the free edges of the covering are forced so as to increase adhesion therewith. The body element is preferably of an aluminium alloy.
