Abstract

1,205,252. Vehicle floors. CRANE FRUEHAUF TRAILERS Ltd. 20 Sept., 1967 [7 Oct., 19661, No. 42739/67. Heading B7B. [Also in Divisions F2 and H2] . A vehicle has a floor 24 and includes a duct 11 of channel shaped cross-section supported below the top surface of the floor 24 with its open side facing downwardly, and spaced insulating means 22 within the duct supporting power carrying means 12, 13, 14. In the construction shown the duct is supported by flange portions 18, 19 which are gripped at spaced intervals by bracing members 21, the assembly being screwed to a transverse chassis member 25. The insulating means 22 are cushions composed of a resilient material such as sponge rubber. The power carrying means comprises a pair of air brake lines 12, 13 and an electrical cable 14. The cable is connected to a protected plug (Fig. 5, not shown) and the plug and terminals of the air brake lines are mounted on the forward end of the vehicle, i.e. atrailer (Figs. 3, 4, not shown).
