A women's half slip comprises two panels 11, 12 which are connected to form the slip with substantially continuous upper and lower edges by means of oblique seams (13), Fig. 1 (not shown), 14. The seams may extend from the back of the upper edge to the front of the lower edge or vice versa. The slip may be made of knitted, woven or tricot material and the two panels may be of the same or different material.
