Abstract

1,204,529. Panty girdles. DE LUXE GIRDLECRAFT CO. Inc. 25 Oct., 1967 [19 Dec., 1966], No. 48606/67. Heading A3V. [Also in Division D1] A panty girdle has an upper portion 18 and leg portions 20 formed integrally of resilient knitted material comprising generally parallel, horizontal strands knitted together by multiple-thread strands which extend generally perpendicular to the parallel strands except where certain of the parallel strands are omitted from the leg portions 20 so that they give less restrictive control than the upper portion 18. Right and left garment halves may be joined at centre front 16 and back or the girdle may comprise a single panel. A reinforcing panel 26 of similar material to portion 18 is sewn to the inner face of portion 18.
