Abstract

1,203,646. Pesticides containing carbamates and formamidines. SCHERING A.G. 12 Sept., 1967 [24 Sept., 1966], No. 41607/67. Heading A5E. A pesticidal composition comprises a carbamate wherein R' is alkyl or cyclohexyl; R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>3</SP> are alkyl or form a ring; R<SP>4</SP> and R<SP>5</SP> are H, halogen, alkyl or alkenyl; in admixture with a formamidine wherein R<SP>6</SP> and R<SP>7</SP> are C 1 to C 4 alkyl; or R<SP>6</SP> is H and R<SP>7</SP> is C 1 to C 4 alkyl. The active compounds may be in the form of their salts, and the compositions may contain more than one of each compound. Typical compounds used are 3-dimethylaminomethylenimino-phenyl -N-methylcarbamate, 4-dimethylaminomethylenimino-3-methylphenyl - N - methylcarbamate, and N-(2-methyl-4-chlorophenyl)-N, N'- dimethylformamidine. The compositions may be applied to crops or commercially reared animals.
