A rectangular dish with an outwardly extending mouth flange has a flat cover 4 with edge panels which fold under the flange along lines of weakness 6 and are adhered to the underside of the flange. The cover 4, made of board, paper, filmic material or metal foil, has a tab 8 on one edge which is joined to the two adjacent edges by tear lines 7.
