An appliance for suspending articles of wear such as waders, gum boots and oilskins, comprises two limbs 1 pivoted together at a crossover point 2 intermediate of their ends, one pair of end portions being directed inwards towards one another so as to define a pair of gripping tips which are capable of gripping an article of wear, whilst the other pair of end portions are directed outwards away from one another and are connected by a length of flexible member 4 such as chain or cord by which the appliance can be suspended from a hook or projection so as to cause the gripping tips to be urged towards one another.
