Abstract

1,203,293. Knitting. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 6 Sept., 1967 [6 Sept., 1966], No. 40739/67. Heading D1K. A warp knitted fabric having a ground composed of two series of warp yarns knitted together to a normal tricot stitch has a further series of warp threads knitted in an alternate course sequence and floating between the alternate course knitting sequences so as to provide thread floats which extend over at least four wales. A napping operation is subsequently performed on the float surface of the fabric.
